It is a common superstition that the wounds of a dead man will bleed once again when touched by the person who murdered him. Such is the basis of this weeks story. A very well known farmer was murdered on morning. No one had a clue as to who or why the murder took place. So, as was the custom of the time, the neighbors gathered to tend to the body in preparation for the wake. All was going to plan until one particular person touched the body. The wounds on the dead man began to bleed as if they were fresh. Everyone who saw knew that this man was the killer. However, as this was not evidence that could be brought up in court, the murderer went free.
